Take a trip to a museum or art gallery. Find something that moves you and spend time reflecting on and appreciating its beauty. What good feelings does it bring out in you? Try to hold on to these feelings as you carry on with your day. If you cannot get to a museum, you could always search the internet for images of art on a subject that interests you.

Make a list of all the things you still don’t know about your favourite areas of interest. This is an opportunity to increase your expertise and become more curious. Choose areas that pique your interest and set about learning more about them. Visit websites, chat on forums, or read books and magazines on the subject. I always feel disappointed when I see people criticising the notion of happiness and positivity. It seems to promote a sense of hopelessness and an attitude of ‘why bother’. So I suggest you come up with as many reasons as you can for why promoting happiness is a good thing. You could draw on your own experiences, or go one step further and discover the research out there that highlights the many benefits brings to both your mental and physical wellbeing.
